Cine It is a web application that lets users browse recent movie reviews and critics' picks from the New York Times. It is optimized for mobile browser display (such as those found on the iPhone and Android devices) and is powered by the New York Times Movie Reviews API.

Note: The app will work in a "normal" desktop browser, but it's really designed for small screens and finger actions. Appearance will also vary in browsers not using the WebKit rendering engine.

Tip: If you "Add to Home Screen" on the iPhone, the app will run in a full screen, chromeless window. Cool!

About

This app was a quick exercise built by Lucas J. Shuman over a week in January 2009 to learn more about developing sites for mobile display as well as to gain familiarity with the New York Times developer APIs. This is more of a learning exercise than a finished product, but I may try to work in some Netflix, Amazon or other movie-related services if time allows to experiment in the future.
